To C. E. MacWilliamsSept. 26, 1904 Philadelphia, Pa.Dear Mr. C.E. MacWilliams:Yours of 24th is in receipt, your suggestion of having some Chi-nese letters on the cover of the pamphlet is very good. But to putthe name of Chee Kung Tong on it I could not be sure whethersome of the members may not object to it, and besides, the CheeKung Tong is only a local name used in this country only, it wouldnot apply the Revolutionary Society general, I prefer the generalname Ku Ming Kuan, the revolutionary army. So in this case I wrotethe Chinese letter as Ku Ming Chow, the revolutionary forerun-ners for the cover of the pamphlet, which is a name general knownin China for the movement of the present day. I think this nameis more proper for the pamphlet, and no local lodge could raiseany question for the privilege of using it.We will start from here for New York in some afternoon trainstomorrow and will try to call upon you as soon as we can. Very truly yours, Sun Yat Sen
