To Mrs. LeaDec. 31, 1914Dear Mrs. Lea:Your letter of October 16th have been received sometimeago, as we are going so slow that I have nothing new to tellyou. Besides my English secretary Eling Soong has Marriedrecently and went back to Shanghai with her sister RosamondeSoong, both of them educated in America, and fine Englishscholars, so I have nobody to take charge of my Englishcorrespondence at present. I should like to have you come outthere to help me, but everything is so changable and I cannotarrange any fix plan.
